Shawna Ruth Lahman, originally from Houston, Texas---has been residing in scenic Wisconsin for 15 years with her husband and English Lab.  As a transplant to the north, Shawna is unceasingly awed by its four seasons, finding limitless inspiration with the changing of the four seasons.  In her studio she is guided by a photo from travels, a floral still life, or from an intuitive image from her imagination.

As a child growing up in Houston, Shawna has been fascinated by art as far back as she can recall.  Art was the one subject in those early school days she looked forward to attending.  In 2001 her only son graduated high school and joined the US Navy, Shawna a single mom decided to fulfill her dream; applying and being awarded a full scholarship to study art at Maryville College in Tennessee.  (for serious health reasons Shawna was unable to complete her studies beyond two years).

Shawna currently works out of her home studio in Madison, Wisconsin selling numerous paintings over the years through private and commissioned sales.
